Chart Quest: Level Up Your Knitting Game

Hello! I’m Joanna and I’m the person behind Silver Key Stitches. I’ve been making for most of my life. The women in my mother’s family have always sewn, knit and crocheted—my great-grandmother was an amazing seamstress and dressmaker and many (although sadly, not all) of these skills were passed down through my mother to me). When I was young, my grandmother taught me how to knit and I discovered fine fibers when I picked up knitting again before my two boys were born. I was drawn to the colors and textures of the yarns of indie dyers as well as the textures of Merino, Alpaca, Silk, Bluefaced Leicester and Bamboo. I love creating products that are unique and useful—and I love creating new colors that you won’t find anywhere else. I’ve also been teaching for over 25 years and I love to help people grow their skills!
